Reboot Program
Reboot program is for someone who has some health concerns. It ranges from people who want to lose weight to people who want to heal cancer.
Reboot program is almost the same thing as "detox". We have accumulated toxins by living in the modern lifestyle. By getting rid of the waste (toxins) out of your body enables you to get back to the ideal weight and become healthy again.
Reboot period can be from 10 days to 100 days, it is depending on the person's reboot purpose and goal. Some people go through 10 days of reboot to accomplishing his goal of losing some weights, while others go through 100 days of reboot to heal cancer, diabetes, or lose large amount of weight. Even only three days of reboot will help you to feel the energy in your body.
As I said in the benefits of juicing page, I do not guarantee that Juicing will cure every disease. However, there is a great chance that juicing will at least help the current condition, since the minerals, enzymes, and vitamins will help increase the immunity of the body. If you do have a health condition, please consult your doctor before you start the reboot program.
If you are taking a prescribed medication, please keep taking the medication when you start the reboot program. You may feel better once you start your juicing life, and If you want to adjust the medication intake, please consult your doctor. Adjusting the medication is dangerous without the supervision of your doctor.
Following is the meal plan for the Reboot program.
Breakfast: Fruits Juice or smoothie -- More than 500 ml
Lunch: Big Salad or Vegetable Juice --More than 500 ml
Dinner: Vegetable Juice --More than 500 ml

Breakfast - Fruits Juice
At breakfast, make a mix of fruits juice that yields more than 500 ml. If you feel that 500 ml will make you hungry, go ahead and make double that amount. Especially when you just started the reboot program, your body may need more vitamins and minerals to get rid of the toxins, so be ready to make more at the beginning. If you prefer, you can pack the juice in the bottle and bring it to your work. Whenever you get hungry between meals, you can reach the bottle and feed you a fresh juice.
Are you concerned the amount vitamins that will be lost over time? Yes, you are correct. The amount of vitamins gradually goes down over time. Ideally, you want to drink your juice within 15 minutes to get the most vitamins and minerals out of the juice.
But don't be too serious about it. If you are afraid of passing out with hunger, then bring the bottle of juice with you!! Don't give up on the reboot program, just because you are afraid of losing the vitamins! There are some vitamins and minerals left in the juice, and drinking the hour-passed-juice will not harm you. It will actually help you if you are the type of the person who does not want to spend so much time in the kitchen preparing the each meal.

Lunch - Salad or Vegetable Juice
If you work outside, please bring one big batch of salad with you. Key of the salad is to use some raw vegetables to get the most vitamins, minerals enzymes, and fiber.
I am talking about the big salad with 4 or 5 different vegetables used. If you are taking the salad at work, please use the big plastic container along with your favorite dressing on the side. Avocado, daikon radish, bean sprouts, and alfalfa are not really meant for juicing, so use those veggies for lunch.
Adding nuts and seaweed is a good idea, since nuts are the rich in protein and seaweed is a good source of minerals. Dried fruits, such as raisins, cranberries, dates will give you the excellent accent in your salad. Key is to eat raw food. During this reboot, eating raw whole foods will help you to get the toxins out.
If your purpose of reboot is not losing weight, it is more for curing some health concerns, you may want to add more proteins during the reboot. I would recommend to add some cooked food along with some plants based proteins. For instance, soy beans, chick peas, quinoa, squash, kabocha, corn, green beans are some examples that you can try adding to your lunch.
Cautions: Please do not add any animal products including meat, portly, eggs, cheese in your salad during the reboot. :)

If you do not like eating salad, then you can make some vegetable juice for lunch. In this case, you are drinking fruit juice in the morning, and vegetable juice for lunch and dinner. This is perfectly O.K. Joe Cross proved that it works for the reboot in his movie "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead". After the reboot, you can go back to the "normal meal" (Ideally it is close to "Ideal Diet"), so don't to hesitate to drink juice all day long!

Dressing
I recommend olive oil or sesame oil based dressing over vegetable oil based ones. Stay away from heavy dressing, such as mayonnaise or ranch dressing. Olive oil, lemon, and salt and pepper combination is the good basic dressing recipe that gives the best fresh taste. Unless you really hate dressing, please use some sort of dressing to give the salad some flavor, since some oil is actually good for your body, and it enable you to start liking the salad variety.
Dinner - Vegetable Juice
Drink more than 500 ml of vegetable juice. Basic recipe is 2 apples plus 4 or 5 different vegetables. Here is the vegetable juice recipes. |
Snack
If you get hungry between meals, you can drink some vegetable juice that has been made earlier. You do not have to be starved and hungry and miserable until the next meal, since your body may be asking for more vitamins and minerals. Key to success for your reboot program is to listen to your body. You may need more juice in the early stage of reboot, while you do not need anything between meals. If you really need some solid, then go for banana, nuts and dried fruits, some raw food that your body is craving.
Before you go for the Reboot Program
Consult your doctor to not only know your weight, height, BMI, cholesterol level, blood pressure, but also to find out if there is any other health concerns. It is recommended to discuss to your doctor about the reboot program for your health situation.

1 Week Before the Reboot Start
- Buy a juicer.
- Drink a lot of water
- If you are a smoker, reduce the amount of tobacco. (or quit!)
- Reduce the amount of caffeinated drink
- Reduce the amount of soda and pop
- Reduce the amount of alcohol
- Try introducing more vegetables
- Find out where you can buy vegetable and fruits at reasonable price
- Get rid of junk food, pops, alcohol, caffeinated drinks from your house
1 Day Before
- Set the juicer on the kitchen counter. Read the manual and get ready for tomorrow's first juicing.
- Buy a lot of vegetables. You can refer to the recipe page to make the first basic juice. Carrots, celery, broccoli, cucumbers, apples, tomatoes are relatively easy to obtain and suite for juicing. Wash them before putting them in the fridge to eliminate the preparation time.
1st day
- Breakfast- Fruits juice
- Lunch- Salad or vegetable juice
- Dinner- vegetable juice
- You may need more juice at the beginning to go through the detox period. So, make 600 ml to 1000 ml each time or make a batch of juice and bring some to your work.
- This is your first day of your new life! Please film yourself or take some pictures for your memorable moment! (You can also share your reboot experience with us! )
- Drink a lot of water.
2nd day to 4th day
- Many people find that this period is the hardest, since you will experience the detox symptoms. The symptoms includes headaches and nausea, and fatigue. You may want to start your reboot to let those period to be on the weekend, so that it will not affect your work life. When you get over this period, things will get so much better and easier, and you will get the clear mind and pure energy!!
- You can make more vegetable juice during this period to get more minerals and vitamins.
- You will experience the weight loss.
5th day~
- How is your weight? Your weight will not keep coming off. It normally stop losing weight in some point and stabilize it.
- Many people experience the clear mind and a lot of energy in your body!
- When you get this pure energy, let's start exercising!
10th day (Completion of 10 days reboot program)
- You did it! Congratulations! Please share your reboot experience with us!
- After the reboot completion, keep drinking at least one glass of vegetable juice a day, and move to the Petite-juice life. Your intestine is clean now and you do not want to fill your stomach with junk food. Try to eat food that is close to the "Ideal Diet".
60th to 100th day (Completion of longer reboot program)
