Questions
Q. Do you recommend for children to drink the fresh vegetable juice?
Absolutely Yes! If your children loves drinking the fresh vegetable juice (not the one from the store), please give some to them as a supplement, so called Petite-Juicing. Kids need normal food, hopefully close to the "Ideal Diet", beside juice for their the healthy growth. ( Reboot Program is not recommend for anyone under 20. The Reboot Program is for the adult whose growth period is over.)
My daughter is four and she always drinks a small glass of juice with us along with her normal meal. My son started drinking juice when he was 18 months old, and he loved it at that time. He likes making juice, so it has been his job to put vegetables in the juicer slot. He is now two years old, and he is a very picky eater. He drinks it sometimes, but often times he refuses to drink juice. But that is absolutely OK. If you add more apples to sweeten the juice, kids tend to like it.
Please do not force kids to drink or eat vegetables. It is important to let kids to know that it is good and fun to drink juice and eat vegetables. Small children eventually will learn from what you eat and how you eat by looking at you. Please relax, be patient, and keep making a good meal for children.
Q. Do you recommend juicing for pregnant women or women who is breastfeeding?
Yes! It is the same as for children. Petite-Juicing life is for everyone, especially for pregnant women and breastfeeding women who need more nutrients for their babies. (Reboot Program is not recommended for pregnant women or breast feeding women.)
Drink a glass of juice as a supplement, along with your normal meal. Please consider to eat more of an "Ideal Diet" than junk food. Eat more of plants based protein over animal based protein. Avoid large fish because of the high mercury levels. Go for the brown whole grain over the white grain rice if possible.
I hope your baby will get the high quality mineral and vitamins through your body!
Q. I do a hard workout. You said to avoid the animal based protein, but should I also avoid the animal based products? Don't I need to eat meat to get more energy?
I do not recommend eating meat, especially eating four legs animals, even though you work out hard or you do sports. You are probably aware that eating animal based products will increase the cholesterol level, and it will eventually cause cancer and heart disease. But why do we still have the image of PROTEIN=MEAT, or ENERGY=MEAT?
My friend once said that he often goes to Yakiniku (BBQ beef) restaurant whenever he gets sick or when he is low of energy. If you do the same thing, ask yourself if you have experienced the pure, overflowing energy within your body. Probably not. When you eat a lot of meat, you will not be able to feel your body properly. Your body and intestine are now so dull that you won't even notice if there is a problem. (If this is the case, you are the perfect candidate for our Reboot program. )
When you recover your healthy and sensitive intestines by the reboot program, you will feel just how heavy it feels when meat goes through your intestine. That is how its supposed to be.
In both Japan and the U.S., surgeons who operate cancer patients and heart disease patients already aware that eating animal based products are one of the main reasons for those disease. They cut up the patients' stomach and take out cholesterol and cancer cells almost every day.
One of the Japanese surgeons, Takaho Saiyo, found that the half of patients who he operated died within five years because the cancer cells reappear and killed them. He finally realized that taking out the bad cells does not cure patients. Changing their diet and lifestyle are the keys to cure patients. In his book "Winner juice to overcome cancer" , he recommends to drink 2 litter of fresh vegetable juice every day along with his cancer treat meal plan. He has accomplished to cure many cancer patients by his method.
I am not saying that you have to quit all of animal based product right now and become a vegetarian. I simply recommend everyone to choose plant based protein over animal based product, when you have a choice. Start with saying no to four legged animals, like beef and pork, and go for chicken, eggs, and fish at first. If you really want to eat chicken, go for the breast parts over the legs.
By the way, if you are the one who does the hard workout, compare yourself with two different diets. One time with juicing with no meat or no animal based products and one time with your normal diet with meat with no juice. Instead of proving scientifically how it works, it is easier to tell you which is easier when you experiment on your body.
My husband used to be in the Navy Seal teams, and he still keeps his good health and strength with working out almost everyday. He goes to the Cross-fit group twice a week and work out with active service guys from Army, Navy, and firefighters, and other sportsmen. When they workout, they sometimes compete with each other.
When he was eating animal based products, he typically finished second or third, but never in the first place. However, when he omitted all of the animal based products and doing the raw food diet like our Reboot program, he finished his workout way faster than anybody else and came in first position. Not only for that week, he was the first finisher for a couple of weeks after that during his raw food diet.
Mitsuo Koda wrote in his book "Do not eat breakfast if you want to live longer', he talks about that the vegetarian people satisfied the protein level in their blood. He says that without eating meat, amino acid was synthesized within the body and creates muscle. Moreover, the vegetarian muscle tend to be much more flexible and stronger than the meat eater's muscle.
One more thing.
I have been wondered why many people believe that a lot of protein is needed when you do sports. There are many protein bars and candies in the store. Why?
It is just because many protein bar companies are heavily marketing. That's all. You do not need too much protein. Too much protein is not good for you anyway.
If you keep 70% of WRF ratio, you do not need to add more protein in your diet. Believe it or not, vegetable and fruits already contain protein. Here is the chart. Nuts and beans have a quality protein. You can also try the fancier food like quinoa.
If you are still interested in eating meat, watch this movie, "Forks over Knives", and face the facts. This talks about the importance of eating Whole Foods and avoiding the animal based products.
If you are the one who does the hard workout, eat a lot of carbohydrates and good protein, but try keeping the 70% of WRF ratio.
Q. You said that JEM does not recommend to weigh yourself frequently. Why?
We do not recommend you to weight yourself frequently. Our weight shift up and down by 500g to 1kg easily by what you ate for that day. If you weigh yourself often, you will get stressed when you supposed to enjoy your meal.
If your want to lose weight and go though the reboot program, you will be happy to be on the scale in the first week because your weight goes down drastically in the first couple of days. However, your weight loss soon slows down, even though you work out harder and keep drinking juice Your habit of weighting yourself will discourage you from continuing the reboot program.
Our goal here is not only to lose weight, but to obtain the healthy lifestyle. Relax and enjoy your change. When you want to see the weight loss progress, weight yourself once a week, or even twice a month.
During the reboot program, you will feel the difference in your body. Without the scale, you will feel the change. You may feel lighter when you move around, or your arm may get harder after the workout. You may feel the difference when you tie your shoe.
Without relying on the tool, feel your body changing and have fun with it!
Q. I have a question to Nami. How can I contact her?
Here is my email. I will try responding to all emails as much as I can. :)
